AllegroMedical.com presents The Allevyn Gentle Border Lite foam dressing. ALLEVYN Gentle Border Lite is a new addition to the ALLEVYN Gentle Border range of products which all target the reduction of pain associated with dressing changes. The dressings benefit the patient as the gentleness of a silicone gel adhesive minimizes pain and trauma to the wound on removal. In addition this new dressing fits the wound better thanks to a slimmer foam core to provide dressing conformability.

Indications:
ALLEVYN Gentle Border Lite is indicated for wound management by secondary intention on shallow, granulating wounds, chronic and acute low exuding wounds full and partial thickness wounds including:

• Skin tears 
• Pressure ulcers 
• Diabetic foot ulcers 
• Leg ulcers 
• Fungating wounds 
• Infected wounds 
• Malignant wounds 
• Surgical wounds 
• Donor sites 
• First and second degree burns

Precautions:
Do not use ALLEVYN Gentle Border Lite dressing with oxidizing agents such as hypochlorite solutions (e.g. EUSOL) or hydrogen peroxide, as these can breakdown the absorbent polyurethane component of the dressing. If reddening or sensitization occur discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional.
